Loving and gentle God,
for the times we have been
insensitive to the needs of others …
For the times we have not resisted evil
but have given in to it instead …
For the times we have failed to offer hope and support …
For the times we have shut ourselves off
from comfort, hope, and support …
For the times we have allowed cynicism to reign …
Lord, we repent and believe in the Good News.
Loving God, we turn to you in love and trust.
Allow your reign to grow continually in our hearts,
now and always. Amen.
